At The Gates - New Album Recordings Begin

Swedish melodic death metal pioneers At The Gates have begun recordings of their upcoming studio album with producer Russ Russell (Napalm Death, The Haunted, Dimmu Borgir, etc.) at Parlour Studios in the UK, which follows up 2014's acclaimed comeback release At War With Reality. Check out a first video report from the studio, featuring drummer Adrian Erlandsson doing a drum set-up run-down for the recordings. Not much else was revealed about the new album except that it is "darker, richer and more raging" than the last one.

At The Gates - Announce New Guitarist, Studio Album Update

No rest for the wicked. Swedish melodic death metal masters At The Gates have announced a string of U.S. tour dates to follow after their appearance on the 70000 Tons Of Metal 2016 cruise. Set to kick off on February 9th, 2016 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the trek will also feature The Haunted and Decapitated (direct support) and Harm's Way, making up for a heavy-hitting bill.

The clip was created by Costin Chioreanu, who was already responsible for the artwork concept of the band's comeback album, At War With Reality, as well as the creation of the animated video for the song "Heroes And Tombs". "The Book Of Sand (The Abomination)" video is composed by live footage shot at the recent Rockstadt Extreme Fest in Romania on August 15th, 2015.
